ABOUT
Dr. Jimmy Bae ,DC NRCME
Viewing healthcare from an integrated and holistic approach, Dr. Bae focuses on treating the underlying cause of a condition rather than simply the symptoms presented. Dr. Bae received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the Southern California University of Health Sciences in 2001. He is board certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners in both chiropractic and physiotherapy.
As an athlete Dr. Bae naturally gravitated towards Chiropractic, which has helped him recover from a variety of sports. Thus, Dr. Bae understands when athletes are injured and their complaints.
While at Chiropractic school, Dr. Bae received special training in Activator technique and extremity adjusting, including shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees, ankles and feet. He also learned soft tissue techniques including, IASTM technique, Myofascial Release technique, Post-Isometric relaxation technique, and Neuromuscular Re-education technique which focuses on treating muscles and tendons from acute to chronic. This can be especially helpful for athletes wanting to maximize their potential. Dr. Bae also studied Lumbar Flexion/Distraction, a technique used to treat low back pain with herniated disc. Dr. Bae is certified in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) Techniques with Fibroblaster, Inc.
Dr. Bae is NRCME Certified and registered to perform physical examinations that meet the requirements of the FMCSA Department of Transportation (DOT) and Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) for commercial drivers.
Current certification progress:
Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician/Practitioner (CCSP), Kinesio Muscle Taping, Musculoskeletal Diagnostic Ultrasound.
Dr. Bae’s favorite time spent away from the office is with his wife, Kellie, and their two young children, Erin and Eric – enjoying outdoors, hiking and camping with Boy Scouts.
